The Flatiron Building, one of New York City’s most recognisable architectural icons, is entering a rare and considered new chapter. Completed in 1902 and celebrated for its distinctive Beaux-Arts façade and wedge-shaped form, the landmark is now being reimagined as a collection of luxury private residences. Under the stewardship of The Brodsky Organization and the Sorgente Group, the historic tower is undergoing a meticulous restoration that honours its heritage while introducing contemporary living spaces shaped by its unique geometry. The transformation preserves the soul of the building, allowing residents to live within a piece of New York’s architectural history rather than merely admire it from afar.

Inside, the interiors have been entrusted to Studio Sofield, working alongside SLCE Architects, to create spaces that feel both timeless and quietly modern. The double-height lobby sets the tone, a grand yet restrained arrival where craftsmanship, proportion and light take centre stage. A sculptural chandelier memorialises the original Madison Square gaslight, subtly referencing the building’s past while anchoring its future.

Marketed by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, this is not simply a residential conversion, but a thoughtful dialogue between old and new, where legacy architecture is elevated for a contemporary, design-conscious audience.
