In a city where architectural marvels and luxury hospitality go hand in hand, a new era is unfolding along the High Line. The highly anticipated Faena New York is set to open its doors in late spring, making its mark within the sculptural masterpiece of One High Line. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and featuring interiors by Gabellini Sheppard Associates and Gilles & Boissier, this landmark development in West Chelsea is poised to redefine opulence, seamlessly blending contemporary design with a deep appreciation for New York’s cultural and artistic heritage.

Rising proudly at 500 West 18th Street, One High Line spans a full city block between the Hudson River and the High Line promenade. The twin towers, a striking example of sculptural contemporary architecture, have been crafted to mirror the fluidity of the city’s industrial past while embracing modernity. Bjarke Ingels describes the design as a response to the area’s historic industrial heritage, with the towers reshaped from top to bottom to maximise views of the Hudson River, the Empire State Building, and the surrounding skyline. Glass and brass bridges elegantly connect the structures, creating a dynamic interplay between architecture and landscape.

Inside, Gilles & Boissier have brought their signature refined aesthetic, crafting interiors that honour New York’s rich artistic and cultural influences. Natural materials, warm textures, and sculptural furniture create a space that is both luxurious and inviting, a hallmark of Faena’s global identity.

Marking Faena’s second US venture, following the extraordinary success of Faena Miami Beach, Faena New York promises an unparalleled hospitality experience. Occupying ten floors in One High Line’s East Tower, the hotel is set to become an epicentre of creativity, gastronomy, and indulgence, embodying the brand’s signature blend of art, culture, and luxury living.

Among the standout features is a culinary collaboration with Francis Mallmann, the world, renowned Argentinian chef celebrated for his open-fire cooking techniques. His restaurant will offer a sensory experience unlike any other in the city, infusing New York’s fine dining scene with a bold South American influence.

Guests and residents will also have access to the Tierra Santa Healing House, Faena’s famed spa and wellness sanctuary, known for its holistic treatments, immersive healing rituals, and world-class facilities. Spanning 17,000 square feet, this wellness retreat is expected to be a haven of tranquillity within the city’s fast-paced rhythm.

Adding another layer of exclusivity, Faena New York will also introduce Faena Rose, the brand’s highly coveted private members’ club. With a focus on cultural programming, art, and bespoke experiences, this club is expected to attract a discerning international clientele seeking refined social and intellectual engagement.

Beyond the hotel, One High Line’s West Tower features 236 private residences, designed with the same meticulous attention to detail that defines the Faena experience. With expansive layouts ranging from one to five bedrooms, residents will enjoy sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and access to unparalleled amenities, including exclusive services offered by Faena Hotel.

Developed by Witkoff and Access Industries, this project is more than just another luxury opening, it is a statement of intent. Faena New York is set to transform the landscape of West Chelsea, solidifying its status as a hub of sophistication, artistic expression, and boundary-pushing luxury.

As Faena New York prepares to open in 2025, anticipation is building for what will undoubtedly be one of the most talked-about hospitality launches in recent memory. With its blend of avant-garde design, world-class dining, and immersive cultural experiences, Faena’s arrival on the High Line is not just an expansion, it is a reinvention of what it means to stay, dine, and live in one of the world’s greatest cities.
